Areas of expertise

If you’re struggling with anxiety or depression, or have been through something traumatic or distressing, you’re not alone. Even the strongest amongst us have times when external and internal pressures can overwhelm our physiological and psychological ability to cope. Psychotherapy is a proven and effective intervention to help reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, heal from past trauma, and provide tools for maintaining emotional health for the long-term. For others, our relationships can become chaotic or broken and we just need someone to guide us as we navigate all the different personalities that make up a family.

As a licensed clinical psychologist I offer adults, children, couples and families a path to finding freedom and hope in whatever situation they’re in and provide them with life-changing tools to move from where they are right now to where they want to be.

Traumatic experiences can rewire our brains and keep us re-experiencing the trauma over and over, causing us to become paralyzed in our daily lives and relationships. Cutting edge research on how trauma affects the brain and body has provided the catalyst for proven and effect trauma-focused therapies that unlock the trauma narrative and make sense of what happened—and set you free. Trauma therapies I provide include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for children and adults.
In addition, my life experience as a wife, mother, former teacher, author and speaker on healing from past sexual trauma has provided me with real life experience to help you reclaim your voice, find the strength and purpose to achieve your goals, heal from past wounds and live out your dreams. I’m here to listen, without judgment, because I really care.
